Expert Team Rockets Tactics

You’ll find this game type on Social Team slayer. Team Rockets is quite honestly my favorite game type. And thats pretty much because it’s the one that I win on all the time. And hopefully, I’ll be able to share most of my winning strategy here, so the next time your on Xbox Live with your friends you can come top of your team every time!
Firstly, one thing that everyone always forgets on Team rockets is that you also have grenades! It sounds so simple, but people always forget that a cheeky grenade can be the finishing blow after that badly judged rocket only took down their shield. Granades are actually my 3rd highest kills weapon on Halo 3! However, there’s also a drawback to this. If you throw a grenade while reloading, it “resets” the reload, adding valuable time to the process which could mean the difference between a double kill or death.
Secondly, and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say this, but 90% of rocket kills don’t come from direct hits in mid-air or head shots, but it’s all about shooting the rocket at your opponents feet! Especially on maps like “Narrows” where everyone is always jumping around! Judge where they’re going to land, and aim there. It only takes a few games on Halo 3 to learn that bunny hopping rules!
As briefly mentioned above, a key tactic is to keep moving! Don’t be a sitting target for longer than a split second. Team Rockets is a game type where expert Xbox 360 control handling is vital. You need to be jumping through the air (moving in 2 directions) while following your cursor over your opponent in another direction. Mastering the art of bunny hopping around while shooting rockets at your opponents feet is the vital ingredient to this game type.
So, don’t forget about those grenades. Keep bunny hopping. And always shoot in front of where your target is moving!
And for anyone who’s wondering how qualified I am to give advice on this game type, I got a medal for a complete team wipeout (5 people) with 1 rocket!!!
