Halo 3 Cheats, Glitches, Tips and Easter Eggs

Master Chief

This video is full of halo 3 cheats, glitches, tips and easter eggs! It is a fairly long video (almost 10 minutes), but really worth checking out. It has some interesting glitches and tips in it which I have never seen before! This guy also finds something interesting on the skulls! They are marked? or signed, what is that all about? In the comments of the video people are saying the skulls are marked because they are dead spartans! Could be true, but I am not sure about this, why would spartans have this in the back of their skull / head ??

Other people think it are dead soldiers and they were marked before going to battle? In the Halo world you never know! If you think you know the answer, please leave it in a comment so we can discuss or check / think about it.

Anyway, this video is worth checking out:

Common Courtesy

i1086

Common Courtesy on Halo, something that shouldn’t be unheard of. Many times I’ve started a game and accidentally hit one of my team-mates in the back and heard on the headset how much of an idiot I am, now, it’s a complete accident, the game has just started and there won’t be an enemy encounter until your health has been regenerated and yet they continue to call you a moron, I would like to encourage you to not be one of those people, it can possibly bring the team down and people may not play as well, unlikely but a possibility and it’s not worth it, it may also be dangerous to yourself and the same person might just come up and kill you for being a jerk to them at the start.

My second point is kill-stealing, when you and someone else on your team both are going for a guy and both start shooting him at around the same time, whoever gets the kill deserves it (more they were just lucky to get the final shot, but still) and there is no need to call them a kill-stealer, there’s a chance that person could have just turned around and killed you if they had not helped you which isn’t something you want to happen. Now, with that statement I am by no means saying when you see someone on your team shooting a guy in the back for a couple seconds it is ok for you to just go up and punch/shoot that guy, THAT is what kill-stealing is, when you KNOW they have that kill for sure (excluding lag-outs) and you just take it, even if it doesn’t really matter who gets kills as long as your team wins, it’s still something people aren’t going to be happy about and are going to chew you out about it. Going back to the double-teaming, when you and your team mate are closing in on someone from both sides and the guy you are going for is shooting your team mate, make sure you pull out of the firing before the guy dies because you may end up killing your own team mate and giving the other team a kill, even if you get the kill for yourself, it doesn’t help and just trades kills whereas if your team mate gets a kill your up one.

My third point is grenades, say you’re playing snowbound and your team mates and the other team are battling it out underground, don’t just start chucking grenades in the wormhole unless you see red x’s in there, you will end up killing your team mates and the other team, the only time I see an exception for this is when you are up 40-20 and just trying to finish out the game, and another thing that goes back to kill-stealing is when you see your team mate shooting someone close range, do NOT try to stick them, most of the time he’ll know and just run into your team mate and kill him or he’ll just be close enough to kill him anyway.

My 4th and final point is accidents, i recall one time where I threw a stick into the lift room on gaurdian and stuck one of my own guys and ended up killing him, another team mate, and myself. I really didn’t try to, he just kind of got in the way, now, if you were on the betrayed side you would probably be pretty mad, but in the end it was an accident and accidents happen and there is no need to get mad about it, but sometimes it’s pretty hard to hold it in.

Teabagging

i1086

If you have played Halo 3 on Xbox Live for an hour and you will know what the term teabagging means and have most likely experienced it. If you haven’t played, or by some miracle haven’t heard or experienced it teabagging is the act of crouching over a dead players head and un-crouching over and over again, and if you don’t know what that implies you probably shouldn’t.

Teabagging has been in games for a long time now, some games try to prevent it by only allowing you to crouch up and down at a very slow rate or allowing instant respawn which doesn’t completely prevent it but it makes it almost pointless if the person you just killed can’t even see you do it. Most of the re-actions I’ve heard on the headset are something like “Oh he just teabagged me!” with a chuckle in there, but once in a while you run into the guy who just gets super pissed, which can end up being really funny.

Now, I’m all for teabagging myself if it’s done under the right circumstances. What I mean is, if you’re doing team slayer and you’re down by 20 and you just triple-teamed a guy, you don’t need to go up and teabag him. Also you don’t need to solo-teabag if you triple-team someone, which means group-teabagging is acceptable. Usually the only times I teabag are when I get a really nice kill, like I just sneak up behind someone and assassinate them when they have no idea whats going on (especially if it’s a sniper or someone who is on a huge spree) or if someone comes up behind me and starts shooting me and I turn around and just stick them right in the face without dying, then I would teabag.

Some examples of times when teabagging isn’t neccessary would be a shot-punch (shotgun + melee), it requires almost no skill at all, I mean, if you’re getting shot by 4 guys and shot-punch them all then you could probably teabag the 4th, but just running into a guy and shot-punching them, I’d say teabagging is a no-no (if you kill someone witha shotgun when you’re close range then go ahead and teabag, missed opportunities like that are good for teabagging) Another example would be when someone is being a loud-mouthover the headset and bragging before or during game, I would teabag them. One more example of a no-no would be when someone else gets the kill and you did nothing, don’t teabag them.

Game-winning kills, especially when it is close are also times to teabag, there is almost no better feeling then the game being 49-49 in ranked team slayer and everyone is just trying to get the final kill and you see that guy just sitting there crouching trying to hide and not be the last death and just annihilatehim with your battle rifle to the head, I would be ashamed if I did not runup there and teabag him. And yet another time for teabagging would be if you see a body propped up against a wall in a perfect position to be teabagged, even if you didn’t kill them or if they have been dead for a while, you can still go into the theater and watch it. And another would be when the body is sure to move around while being teabagged, thats the best.

A point I would like to make is teabagging length, you don’t want to sit and teabag a body for 5 minutes, it doesn’t help your team or your kill count, I would say 4 up-and-downs would be sufficient unless it’s a game-winner go until you’re back at the lobby.

Now, this is all just my opinion and you might have your very own opinions about it but these are some good tips for someone new to teabaggingand someone who doesn’t want to look like an idiot doing it. I would also like to leave you with the tip to make sure you are actually on the body when you are teabagging it, so many times I see someone go up and teabag the ground, 5 feet away from my body, you look stupid doing it. I have 2 more examples of times to teabag to end with and one would be when you have been teabagged under non-teabagging circumstances, those being the things I mentioned earlier. If someone teabags you for one of those you have the right to return the favor. And finally, teabag your friends all the time :)

Campaign Tips For Halo Newbies

Master Chief

Starter Tips

Here are a few starter tips for those just getting into the fray. (also check out this xbox 360 forum -> halo 3 section for more tips)

Duck and cover – When you’re in the red, get behind something. Basic tactics again, and forget the shield. It’ll save your backside more often than not.

Eyes on the ammo – Always, I repeat, always keep an eye on how much ammo you’ve got. Nothing beats a good ‘ol click when you’ve got that perfect headshot lined up.

Headshots, headshots, headshots – Anybody worth their salt in a shooter knows this. Headshots hurt more, so use ‘em!
